8 -  14 years old - Own a Pony Days - £48 per day - Book Here
Find out what it takes to Own a Pony for the day. From mucking out in the morning to feeding and grooming during the day. Each morning there will be a different themed activity, subjects vary but could be tacking up to ride or plaiting for competition. In the afternoon the children go out for a half hour ride ride followed by a fun horse themed quiz and games. The day runs from 10am to 4pm, available Tue- Fri during school holidays.

All new riders or riders returning after a long break aged 8 years old or over will first need to learn the basics or be assessed on our Robohorse our Riding Simulator. Assessment lessons are 30 mins and will happen indoors, they cost £39.  If you wanted to ride a horse on the same day we have 1 hour slots which consist of half an hour on the simulator and half an hour on a horse.  These cost £75.  Please register to check availability and to book. 8 - Adult - Simulator lessons on Robohorse.  Good for all levels from learning the basics to perfecting the advanced moves.  Also great for giving confidence.  Find out more and book.

Please note...
All filming of horses and riders is strictly prohibited. We apologise for any inconvenience but hope you enjoy watching.

Alternative Education Program

9-25 years old -  Changing Lives Through Horses, The programme has been developed by Britain’s largest Equine charity, The British Horse Society, and is called Changing Lives Through Horses. An alternative provision based here at Deen City Farm. Click here for more information.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel a lessons you should do this through your EC pro account. Lessons can be re-scheduled or credited as long as you cancel 36 hours before your lesson.   Pony rides and Own a Pony days are non refundable or re-schedulable.

Weight Limit
Our maximum weight limit for our horses is 11 stone.  Our simulator weight limit is 15 stone. 

Riding School Vouchers can be purchased either through your EC pro account, or via the farm booking system.

Riding School Opening Hours
We have similar opening hours to the farm but also run lessons till 7pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 5pm the rest of the week.  We start lessons from 9 am on the weekends and  we are closed on Mondays. 


What to wear?
  • If you don't have jodhpurs or breeches then long comfortable trousers which cover your legs. (no shorts or cropped trousers)
  • You can hire a riding hat with your online booking.  Just look out for the hat hire box and tick it when you book our lesson  and it will be added to your basket. 
  • Riding boots with a smooth sole and a slight heel are suitable but we have boots you can borrow for free if needed. 
  • Dress suitably for the weather so waterproofs if it looks like rain.
  • Shoulders and upper arm must always be covered, even in hot weather.  e.g. A t-shirt would be fine but a vest top not. 
  • Jewellery, No hoop earrings or obvious jewellery that might get caught.  Small studs and a watch are fine. 
  • Long hair should be tied back in a low style so we can fit a hat correctly. 
  • We also sell hats and boots if you wish to purchase your own then please ask a member of staff.

Our riding school is a professional and friendly yard, approved by both the British Horse Society and the Association of British Riding Schools, and our instructors are BHS qualified. We are also offer riding to those with disabilities. We have around 12 ponies and horses, who make full use of our floodlit outdoor arena and cross country course.

If you wish to support the horses here at Deen City Farm you can make a monthly contribution here.

We provide lessons for all ages and abilities in dressage, show jumping. . Lessons on our simulator to improve your position are also available and stable management lessons up to BHS Stage IV are available on request. We offer mainly private  (we are closed Mondays).

Own A Pony Days

Available Tuesday to Friday during School holidays our Own a Pony Days are always very popular! For more information on our Own A Pony days please check out our School Holiday Programs.

As of 2019 Deen City Farms Riding School proudly carries a 5 star 3 year license issued by Merton Council. This is the highest level licence awarded to riding schools. Riding School License Deen City Farm, Joanna Henbrey,  LN/0000017111
