Following a meeting of the Board of Trustees last night we have reluctantly taken the decision to close the Farm to the public with immediate effect. We will be contacting everyone who has parties or activities booked with us in the next few days. Please note that the Riding School is operating as normal, with extra precautions in place to keep staff and riders safe. So you can still come for prebooked lessons or other activities based in the Riding School. Our priority is to still be here when life gets back to normal, so we are concentrating our limited resources on keeping our animals happy and healthy. We have to reduce our staffing, so please bear with us while we adjust, and use email rather than telephone to get in contact if possible. As the measures announced by the government so far to support businesses do not apply to charities like us, we are asking anyone who would like to help us survive this crisis to please donate at our Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/dcfarm
It costs us £4,000 a month just to look after all our animals, so we really do need your help if we’re going to get through this.
We will be posting more news and information over the coming days, so please check back regularly. Look after yourselves and each other. And remember: the Riding School is still open.
