Our riding school is a professional and friendly yard, approved by both the British Horse Society and the Association of British Riding Schools, and all our instructors are BHS qualified. We are also a registered member of the Riding for the Disabled Association. We have around 12 ponies and horses, who make full use of our floodlit outdoor arena and cross country course.
We provide lessons for all ages and abilities in dressage, show jumping, or cross country. Lunge lessons are also available and stable management lessons up to stage IV are available on request. We are a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association, and offer RDA lessons.
We offer private or group lessons, which run Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and all day at weekends. If you’re looking to join a group as an experienced rider then you will need to have an initial assessment lesson, which can be arranged with our staff.
All lessons need to be booked in advance, ring the riding school office on 020 8543 5858 for general information and booking, our minimum age for riding lessons is 8 years, we have no maximum age.

Term Time: Wednesdays at midday, Saturday & Sunday at 3pm
School Holidays: Tuesday to Friday at midday, Saturday & Sunday at 3pm
For safety reasons all Riders must weigh under under 7 stone, be able to support their own body weight and wear one of our riding helmets.
Pony rides are priced at £2 each and take place on the wood chipped area to your right as you walk from the farm yard to the fields. They do not need to be booked in advance but we operate a queuing system on a first come first served basis, so recommend you arrive in plenty of time to avoid a long wait.
Due to hat fitting constraints, we are unable to offer pony rides to children with a head circumference of 48cm or less.
The Pony Clubs Centre Membership Scheme was introduced in 1998 so that children and young people without their own pony could join and take part in Pony Club activities, tests and achievement badges. Deen City Farm’s Pony Club is just one of over 750 centres in the UK and operates as part of the national Pony Club, it’s open to anyone under the age of 21 years.
Riding schools around the country become linked to The Pony Club, and through this link, we can offer the Pony Club tests and badges to our members. We also take teams to some of the regional Pony Club competitions, and have also qualified for the National Championships!
Our pony club runs on Thursday evenings from 5-6pm and costs £7.00 (£9.00 for non members) per session, is open to children over 8 yo with and interest in all things to do with horses. Please note, our Pony Club sessions do not include riding.
