Path Laying - A Huge Thank You...

... to Cemex, Mayday Plant Hire and Danone's Finance & IT Departments for our brand new path!!

A team of 15 sweated through a lovely sunny day on the Farm, getting to grips with levels, pick axes, barrowing sand and bricks and heavy machinery such as whacker plates and angle grinders - a far cry from pen-pushing and computer keyboards!

The team began with a tour of the farm, a BBQ for lunch and ended the day with champagne to celebrate - A great way to team-build and really make a difference to your community.

The team dug, prepared and laid 30metres of brick paving, to provide a path in line with the Disability Discrimination Act, enabling wheelchair users, pushchairs and all other visitors to reach the fields without getting covered in mud! 

The paving bricks were donated by Cemex, who have very kindly given us enough bricks to complete the whole path: a massive 120metres!  The machinery was borrowed from a very generous Mayday plant hire.

We are hoping to continue to pave this area throughout 2007, so if your company, team or friends would like to help please give us a shout!
