Pony Rides

For children under the age of eight, and under 7stone in weight, the Riding School offers pony rides to give youngsters the chance to experience being on the back of a horse.

To meet insurance requirements and Health & Safety guidelines, for a child to have a pony ride, we advise that children must be:

• able to support their own body weight, and

• be properly fitted with a riding school hat

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a ride for any particular child.  Most children over the age of one will be fine for a pony ride, but some small two-year-olds have been declined a ride on the grounds that we didn't have a small enough hat to fit them (they don't make hats any smaller than those we have).  Our priority is to make your child safe.

When do we offer Pony Rides?

We run pony rides every Wednesday at midday and at Weekends at 3pm (Saturdays and Sundays).  We run them Tuesday to Friday at midday during School Holidays in the London Borough of Merton.
