Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators
Open Day 2007
Despite the heavy (to say the least) downpour in the afternoon, visitors
seemed to enjoy touching and seeing our animals up on the Common this
year.
There was plenty of entertainment on offer
elsewhere with other livestock, a Whacky Dog Show, birds of prey,
basket-weaving and a Police Dog display.
We took two sheep, namely Maggie and Shaun,
who made their debut as a double-act and allowed the usual "performer",
Catkin to stay at the Farm for the day.
The part of the common near the Windmill is
a lovely setting and I am sure the HUGE horses they have there enjoy the
chance to gallop around the common. You should see the size of
them! |
