Sheep Shearing Day 2007
The Annual Event when our sheep get shorn occurred this year on 29th
April 2007 and what a wonderful day it was.
A full educational experience was on offer,
from seeing the shearer, Marcus, in action, handling the sheep carefully
as their fleeces came off, right through to the STASH Knitting Group who
came from Putney to provide a demonstration for everyone to see.
As always, we are so grateful to have had
Mary and Arthur Brown with us and their approach when showing young and
old visitors how to spin fleece into wool was fantastic.
The sheep have now all lambed and are
looking much cooler (and trendier?) with their new cropped appearance.
