Mitcham Carnival - 2007


London Borough of Merton's celebratory event included a colourful parade and plenty of community groups running stalls by the ponds in Mitcham Town Centre.

 

As one of the Mayor's Charities for 2007, we were delighted when Mayor Dehaney and his wife kindly dropped in to see us and say "Hello" to our sheep.

 
Our stand was 'manned' by two staff, one trustee and two excellent volunteers, namely Shannon and Toni.

Despite having two sheep, several chicks, two rabbits and a couple of guinea pigs, Trevor the duckling stole the show by looking cute and fluffy.

We ran a Farm Animal Quiz for children.  Every child who entered did so brilliantly that the only way we could find a winner was to pick someone at random.  Well done to everyone who participated.
