What's On Today at the Farm

Anyone can wander around the Farm whenever we are open and enjoy the walk.  There are usually plenty of animals around.  Sometimes the pens seem empty because the larger animals are up in the fields grazing.  If in doubt, ask in the shop where they are!

Animal Feeding

Visitors are able to buy grass nuts to feed to some of the animals.  We can't do this all day because the animals will get tubby, so bags are available from 11am to 12pm and from 2pm to 3pm every day.  We have a maximum number of cups for sale so it is first come, first served.

Something Every Day at Midday

During the week, staff are often very busy dealing with the animals, supporting volunteers or taking school groups around the Farm.  However, during School Term Time, we still try to provide something at midday each day that gives visitors the chance to interact with the animals.

We are trying to provide the following week day schedule, but need responsible adult volunteers to enable this to happen:

At Midday - During School Term Time

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
Farm Closed Stables Open to
the Public
(On Hold Until New Volunteers Can Be Recruited)
Pony Rides
(click for details)
Small Pets Area Open for Petting Stables Open to
the Public
(On Hold Until New Volunteers Can Be Recruited)

During the School Holidays

During school holidays, we are usually running holiday programmes for children which limits the number of activities we can put on.  However, we open the Small Pets Area twice per day (usually 11am and 2pm, but this can vary) and run pony rides every day (12pm).  Unless it is a bank holiday, we are still CLOSED on Mondays during the school holidays.

Pony Rides

We also run pony rides at 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  Insurance requirements have caused us to be more strict on who can have a pony ride.  Click here for details of Pony Rides.
