Working on the farmyard, you will get your hands dirty when mucking out, feeding and watering the animals, from turkeys and pigs to alpacas and ferrets!
Working with staff and other volunteers you will learn a range of ways to care for the animals such as grooming and handling techniques. There’s a lot of sweeping and mucking out, so it can be quite physically demanding.
This role does involve a lot of smelly jobs, so volunteers must be willing to get their hands dirty and have a true love of animals to ensure their welfare.
Available Tuesday to Sunday.
"Meeting new people, learning about the animals, the confidence boost and the experience it’s given me over the last year."
