We were delighted to receive news in December that a bid to the Gannett Foundation was successful, bringing us a £10,000 investment fund for repairs and replacements to most of the fencing at the Farm and for the purchase of a new horse.

It has been a dreadful autumn for the Farm where revenue has been hit hard by low visitor numbers caused primarily by the E-Coli outbreak at Godstone Farm. During these quiet months, the Farm has submitted several funding applications, including one to the Gannett Foundation, the organisation based in the US who own the Guardian Group of Newspapers. And it has paid off!!

Much of the fencing has been in place for around 20 years so needs replacing, especially as some of it is becoming potentially dangerous. Some of the horses have also served the Farm well over the years but a few are getting on and should perhaps move into semi-retirement.

The investment allows the Farm to improve while things are still quiet and ahead of everything scheduled for the Spring and Summer. But please don't wait until then to come and see us!
