The Farm's last fundraising push of 2009 was at its Open Day on Sunday 6th December. Several hundred people came to the Farm on the day and participated in stalls such as the Lucky Dip, Raffle and Photo With an Animal of your Choice! The Tombola was as usual terrifically popular and we'd like to thank our guest, Georgina, for the delightful Christmas gifts she had on offer on her stall.
Various volunteers gave people the opportunity to have their own photo taken with an animal and to have the photo on the front of five Christmas Cards for them to send out! The mulled wine warmed our hearts and the rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" was a delightful warm up to the draw for the Raffle!
It wouldn't have been the same without the big man in red and he put in an appearance and met with over forty children, each of whom left with something to open on Christmas Day.
The team of table decorators churned out beautiful and personal craft creations and the pair of angels making fairies with dozens of children did us proud in the classroom.
To all those pictured below, and some who are not, please accept my personal thanks for the contribution you made on the day. It would be dangerous for me to mention names (as I am bound to forget someone) but you know who you are and we were delighted to have you here to help us raise well over £1,000 to support the Farm's work in 2010.
