The Junior Volunteers have a brilliant time, learning not just about the animals but about themselves, and the value of team work and responsibility.

We recognise that the farm can be a dangerous place, especially for our younger volunteers.  For this reason we have a comprehensive health and safety induction, highlighting potential dangers and setting some ground rules.

We also ask that parent/guardians complete a consent form so that we can keep your child’s safety of paramount importance.

As part of the educational aspect of our work, volunteers may participate in visits to shows such as Wimbledon Village Fair, Camden Green Fair, Mitcham Carnival or weekends away like attending the residential lambing course at Lambourne End.

But don't forget that it is hard work and not all fun and games - we expect a commitment from all our volunteers which means giving us a ring if you’re ill or on holiday.
