Own A Pony Days (OAP) Your child will combine education with fun and hard work in a full day of horse-related activities. It is an ideal day for any youngster who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty and wants to be around horses and ponies for a day.
You can book by the day or for a whole week (Tuesday to Friday - we rarely run Own A Pony on Mondays because the Farm is closed). There is a discount if you book the whole week. The walk on horseback in the afternoon costs an additional £10 per child per day.
Children should arrive promptly at 10am, with a packed lunch (or money to purchase food from the Cafe) & be picked up at 4pm. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Ideal footwear for the day is wellies, jodhboots or riding boots (trainers are not appropriate).

Wednesday - Tack and Tacking Up
Thursday - Points of the Horse & Markings
Friday - Grooming and Plaiting for Competition

Note: Not all the above activities will necessarily happen on any given day. Other activities may be substituted in. The outline is a guide only.
Note: The Farm opens to the Public at 10am and we are not able to take responsibility for children on site before this time. Therefore, the ideal time to arrive for these programmes is just before 10am.
